Revision Knee Replacements

The average lifespan of a total knee replacement is about 15 years. It may eventually fail and if it does, the patient might experience considerable pain and disability.

Revision (redo) knee replacement is highly specialised and complex but the results after surgery are now excellent. Functional outcomes can approach those of patients undergoing primary surgery.
